Cooking bacon in the oven creates a perfectly crispy bacon. There's less mess, less to worry about and allows you to multi-task in the kitchen. Follow these simple steps for how to cook bacon in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack thick cut bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Line the bacon on the baking sheet side-by-side.
  2. Bake the bacon for 18-20 minutes, flipping half way through, until your desired level of crispiness. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to soak up the excess fat.
  3. Cooked bacon stays fresh when stored in a zip-topped bag in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  1. Make Ahead Instructions: Cooked bacon stays fresh when stored in a zip-topped bag in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  2. Bacon Thickness: Any thickness of bacon can be used though I prefer to use thick-cut bacon. The less thick the bacon is, the less time it needs to cook.
