Ingredients

Units
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • optional toppings: fruit, peanut butter, almond butter, nuts etc.

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to a mason jar or container. Stir well to combine.
  2. Cover and place in the refrgierator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Stir before serving. Serve with optional toppings or enjoy plain.

Notes

  1. Oats: We're using old-fashioned oats for this recipe. If needing this recipe to gluten free, make sure that you use certified GF oats.
  2. Milk: Any type of milk can be used. I normally use almond milk or oat milk.
  3. Chia Seeds: If you're not a fan of chia seeds (some people aren't), you can omit these.
